The Košice Peace Marathon, first held in 1924, is the oldest marathon in Europe and the second oldest in the world (World Athletics). It is held every year in early October, with the start and finish zone on Hlavná ulica between the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel and the Dargov department store — about 1.4 km or a 15–20-minute walk from the apartment.
